Who doesn’t love a slice of Cherry Pie? I’m bringing you a taste of summer to start the year.
This machine embroidered version uses in-the-hoop appliqué and quilting techniques, and comes with step-by-step instructions.
It includes steps for adding batting and stipple quilting right in the hoop. Your blocks will be ready to join together – just add backing and bind.
The finished block measures 12″ x 12″ plus seam allowances and is made up of four quarter pie blocks, each one made in one hooping.
You’ll need a hoop 6×6 or larger to stitch the blocks and a sewing machine to join them together.
If you don’t have an embroidery machine you can still sew yourself a Cherry Pie quilt block. There’s also a version for hand or sewing machine applique here.
