April Creative Challenge: Tulip applique quilt blocks
The April Creative Challenge is the first of many, I hope. I have just released my first in-the-hoop quilt design and I wanted to see what else, apart from quilts, you could make with it. I know from seeing pics on Instagram and Facebook just how many creative and imaginative minds are out there, so I wanted to design something that could be used in a lot of different ways.
Hence the April Creative Challenge. I have joined forces with a group of talented machine embroidery designers on Facebook and we are each devising a challenge. You can join in at the April Creative Challenge Facebook Group.
The challenge begins on April 7th 2018 and ends at midnight on April 30th (UK time or UTC)
To join this challenge all you have to do is use the Tulip embroidered applique quilt blocks design to create something unique and original. You will need to post photographs of your project in the April Challenge Facebook group before the closing time of 24:00 UK time on April 30th. You can make the quilt the same as I did, with the same nine blocks, but make it unique and original with your choice of colour, or embellishment.
But you don’t have to make a quilt. You can use the blocks to make a bag, table runner, cushion or pillow, wall quilt or placemats. You can add the applique elements to clothing and home decor items. There are bonus blocks included in the files for borders and sashing, plus stipple quilting blocks.
Members of The Machine Embroidery Group and the Flowerdog Designs Machine Embroidery Club can purchase the digital design files at a discounted rate of 25% off the regular price. The discount applies throughout the period of the challenge.

The designers from the Machine Embroidery Group will choose three winners after the challenge ends. We will be announcing prizes shortly.
For your project to be eligible for judging…
* You can use any of the blocks in any combination.
* You can add your own words/letters
* You can add other embellishments like beads, buttons, ribbon as long as the finished project is recognisably the Tulip applique design block/blocks.
* You must post your pictures in this group.
