Throughout November, quilt designers around the world are creating quilt blocks on the theme of the forest.
My block for Quilt Block Mania celebrates the Oak tree. The mighty English oak is woven into the history and folklore of England and is a symbol of national strength and stability.
The Oak leaves block is also part of the Coronation Quilt Block of the Month.
Use traditional needle turn applique techniques to hand stitch the block, or go for a fast and fusible method (instructions included).
You can also stitch the block on your embroidery machine (it’s created in 4 hoopings and joined on the sewing machine).
What’s included?
You’ll get a PDF with full sized templates and links to tips and tutorials
You’ll also get 6×6″ machine embroidery files in the following formats: DST | PES | EXP | JEF | HUS | VIP | VP3 | XXX
The block measures 12″ finished, plus seam allowances.
