To make the Heart of Oak applique quilt block on your embroidery machine you will need:
- a hoop large enough to stitch a 6″ x 6″ square
- lightweight stabiliser (I use Polymesh)
- 4 pieces of background fabric 8″ square
- 4 pieces of applique fabric 6 1/2″ square
- 4 pieces of fusible web 6″ square (optional)
- 4 pieces of quilt batting 7″ square
- dry iron and pressing mat
- embroidery machine
- rotary cutter, mat and ruler
You’ll make four quarter blocks and sew them together.
