ITH Tudor Rose quilt block

The Tudor rose is a familiar, traditional Royal emblem and it makes a beautiful quilt block.

This ITH quilt block uses stitch-and-flip and appliqué techniques, and comes with step-by-step instructions.

It includes steps for adding batting and stipple quilting right in the hoop. Your blocks will be ready to join together – just add backing and bind to create a literal bed of roses .

The finished block measures 12″ x 12″ and is made up of four corner units, four side units and one centre unit.

You’ll need a 5×7 hoop to stitch out the side and corner units, and a 4×4 hoop to stitch the centre unit.

Also included are grouped designs for the 8×11 hoop. Stitch two corner units in one hooping, and all four side units in another.

Sew them up using barn block solids, or layer on the florals with pretty prints.
